The smarter E Europe (Focus on Intersolar Europe)

As part of its mission to foster strategic partnerships and identify synergies for innovation in the field of renewable energy, the DIAMONDS4IF consortium took part in The smarter E Europe — with particular focus on Intersolar Europe, the world’s leading exhibition for the solar industry and a key platform for showcasing cutting-edge photovoltaic and integrated energy solutions.

Held from 7–9 May 2025, the event brought together over 2,800 exhibitors and more than 100,000 expected visitors from across the renewable energy value chain.

Representatives from Meyer Burger and the DIAMONDS4IF project team attended with the aim to:

  • Engage with companies and organisations active in solar innovation, grid integration, energy storage, and system digitalisation

  • Explore potential collaborations for future EU-funded projects aligned with DIAMONDS4IF scope

  • Promote the visibility of the project to key stakeholders, particularly technology providers and project developers

The team conducted targeted visits to selected exhibitors and held in-depth discussions with representatives from both leading industry players and high-potential SMEs. These conversations laid the foundation for promising cooperation in the framework of future Innovation Fund applications.

DIAMONDS4IF’s participation in Intersolar Europe reinforced the relevance of its mission: to bridge the gap between innovative R&D results and market-ready projects that can be funded by the Innovation Fund.

The knowledge gained and connections made during the event will directly feed into the project’s activities – from stakeholder engagement to the development of the project pipeline – and help shape a more accessible and effective European funding landscape for the renewable energy sector.
